I thought in the first pictures it was just fungus. Now that I see the second picture it looks as it may be a growth. Fungus would not appear bloody looking. Has this fish been attacked by another, do you think? I could be a wound that has become infected but I just can't tell well enough. What is she using as medication?

I would get some Maracyn and Maracyn-two.

He was not attacked. The other fish in the tank are peaceful. She is not using medication because she doesn't know what it is. It doesn't look like it was bleeding. It just appears to be a reddish bump with white fuzz-like growth on it.

Could it be columnaris? Is there any general medication she should be using without knowing exactly what it is??
