Glad to see it worked out
Now I'm really thinking about do the same thingIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thank you everyone. We need to have our canopy rebuilt. The leds are putting out too much heat and melting the glue that holds the canopy together. Luckily, none of the heat is being directed to the tank but I'm regretting not putting a fan in. The top of the heatsink is 140-150 degrees F by the time the lights turn off. The guy who built it is going to take care of it and at the same time will put a few holes in it for a fan or 2.
One of the ballast blew, the dimmable one. Turns out it needs a minimum of 8 leds to run correctly, and I had it on 6. (another thing they don't tell you) Luckily rapid led will warranty it but I ordered 4 more leds to add in, 2 royal blue and 2 cool white. I wouldn't have this problem if I only ran one ballast, but I want to dial the color in since its a little too blue so I need 2 of them.

Whoops just saw them in an earlier post haha... looks great man!!55g Long --> After 18mo of doing well the tank crashed during moving. Most likely cause: Flatworm Die-off... won't start another until after moving... Likely not until late 2013
