Glad to see it worked out
Now I'm really thinking about do the same thingIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Cool Thread! LEDs are the future.Gas mileage isn't everything OIIIIIIIO
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.
A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

Thank you everyone. We need to have our canopy rebuilt. The leds are putting out too much heat and melting the glue that holds the canopy together. Luckily, none of the heat is being directed to the tank but I'm regretting not putting a fan in. The top of the heatsink is 140-150 degrees F by the time the lights turn off. The guy who built it is going to take care of it and at the same time will put a few holes in it for a fan or 2.
One of the ballast blew, the dimmable one. Turns out it needs a minimum of 8 leds to run correctly, and I had it on 6. (another thing they don't tell you) Luckily rapid led will warranty it but I ordered 4 more leds to add in, 2 royal blue and 2 cool white. I wouldn't have this problem if I only ran one ballast, but I want to dial the color in since its a little too blue so I need 2 of them.

20g Long --> currently concoting a build plan
Check out the journal to follow my 20g SW tank
