Had a good rehearsal last night! All fun.

And we stopped and got a really big road map of England! A road trip needs a road map!

...btw. Why do the qs and the gs look the same sometimes...but not all the the time?

I went ahead and moved past the point where I was supposed to practice up to. I had been shown the notes...don't see why not. *honk*

I won't go past any material that involved notes I hadn't been introduced to...

Need to figure out why I sound like a dying cow in the lower register...sometimes but not everytime...must be my embouchure. Oh the mystery of it all!

My bassooon stand and my seat strap arrived in the mail. That was fun to unpack! Now to see how useful they are...

I also ordered a bassoon ornament...totally useless...but cute nonetheless. A bassoon is not what I'd consider an 'attractive' instrument...so having an ornament is just funny...but they did a good job...it looks as much like a bassoon as you could hope for...

Tried out my new purchases. Always hard to know if you'll find something potentially useful actually useful. The bassoon stand wasn't necessary...but I'm glad I got it...very handy and secure (for piece of mind) and the seat strap is comfortable...

Worked out this go around! :D

I learned the F sharp at my last bassoon lesson. So I couldn't figure out why my G m scale didn't sound right...

Until I realized I was playing both the F and the F sharp...

Now I'm good to go...

If this doesn't keep Alzheimer's at bay...nothing will!
