A weekend at home! JOY!
lol
this weekend is, as usual, tank maintenance weekend. Going to be mor than usual tho, I've been slack cleaning the canisters and scraping, so this weekend each tank gets a filter cleaning and glass scraping instead of magnet cleaning, along with the water change/vacuum.
Maybe a little book reading throughout the day...
And hopefully time for a rollerblading this evening before it gets dark...
Bliss!

More gardening this weekend, mainly WWD (weeding, watering, deadheading).
I rehomed my dojos a couple days ago, into my 65-gallon tank. To them, that's like being moved into a luxury estate with acre upon acre of grounds to explore. They're just now getting used to all that extra space to swim around in. Of course, their familiar roomy cave went with them. Their eyesight isn't the best, and the Shubunkin goldfish is so slow, and the dojos move so rapidly, there have been a couple of mild collisions as one swims in one direction, directly into the path of the other going the opposite way. No harm, though, and I think the dojos are finally learning to watch out for the goldie, and the goldie for them. Everyone is finding their own comfortable niche.
I plan on getting more dojos for the 65, and putting a dwarf crayfish or two into my 20 so I'll still have some bottom-feeders there. Maybe some Amano shrimp in both tanks ...
Now that the dojos are gone from the 20, I notice my RCS coming out into the open more often, and I'm seeing more of them. They pretty much stayed in hiding when the barbs and dojos were there ...
More later ...

Got up way too early this morning and was dragged out to the old house... My annoying sibling was FINALLY leaving today, and wanted to get stuff done. Not much we could do, actually...
I got shanghied into mowing the yard. Grass was almost knee-high and insanely thick... Wasn't sure if I was cutting grass or making hay. Kate was supposed to come out with the weed-whacker, but, of course, she didn't >< My legs and back hurt so bad.
Tonight was the end of Action Week. Normally duting Action Week I spend a lot of time downtown, at the block party or Buskerfest of the free concerts on the boardwalk, and the opening Parade of Lights. This year, I missed the Parade of Lights because of my irritating sister, and because I was the "designated taxi" I had to spend the rest of the week chauffeuring mom around. I got no freaking time to go check out the Action Week activities. Tonight, I finally got to ditch mom and go do my own thing, since tonight was the fireworks. The show started late, and then the traffic tangles began. I was stuck in traffic for almost 40 minutes, seeing morons running red lights or camping out in the middle of the intersections, holding up traffic, and am more convinced than ever some people should take an IQ test before they can get their license.
In short, I'm tired, I'm sore and I'm cranky. Don't get too close; I will bite.

Also had a weekend at home.
On friday we lost power from roughly 8:30 until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m..
Apparently a hotair balloon came down onto the power lines.
Not as bad as during the winter of course...but still nothing to do...no TV, no computer, no phone (line-line), no lights - so no reading...so we went to bed.
Saturday night we went to see Pirates (it had moved to the cheap theatre) - I dunno...hubby and I were both bored. Glad we didn't pay full price. Yesterday I did maintenance on the tanks (I was a week over)...
I've hurt my ankle somehow...so I tried to stay off my feet intermittently as much as I could...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

Working from work. Between my ankle injury and my shoulder injury I'm not a happy camper. Hurts to sit here.
One the plus side, over lunch I get to pick out the colour for the house trim.
I'm going for a different shade of green! Grass green? Oh the possibilities...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

Getting ready for final exam. Also treating an Isolation tank with Aquarium Salt to aid in recovery of Scale Torn Platy. Fish seems better already... Might just be the calm before the death though... I am keeping an eye on her for distress.
Also watching a Mystery Apple snail and MTS in there for rapid salt deaths... Treated 2 teaspoons for 10 gallons.Forum Rules_Pest Snail Eradication_The Fishless Cycle, By Lady Hobbs_Cycling With Fish, By Lady Hobbs_Homemade Hospital Tank_Fish 911

Finally sold my mahogany bedroom set... Had to settle for much less than what I wanted for it, though. Unhappy about that, but at least it's gone. One less thing for mom to nag me about XP

Working at work again! No plans for tonight, unless I feel like starting painting the trim on the house...which maybe I should. I can likely only manage 2 windows or so before my arm gives out ...
