    Default Today

Going to have to go out today to see if my favorite petshop has my Hi Fin Lyre Tail Platy. If not, I am going to give up on locating any. I have some fish that were mistaken for them, turned out to be swordtail variety...
So, if cannot find, no big deal. I got a beauty of one hi fin lyretail sword. She is a great looker. Drove my mail sword into a frenzy.

On a side note, only can find one site with ANY information on them.

He just wants to much for them in my opinion, lol.

Those are the two types I was looking for. Found one at the LFS, but she died being treated for Ich, given to her by a ugly, straggly sword they had in there with her. The sword lived though.

Errands and tidying...long-weekend style...but I don't mind since it's not as rushed as it would be on a regular weekend.

Saw 'Green Lantern' last night. The internet time listings didn't say it was 3D, so I didn't put in my contacts...*argh* Those 3D glasses don't fit on my face over my regular glasses...

Loved the movie! I'm not sure why it has such poor ratings. But then again, I'm the only person whose favourite superhero just happens to be Green Lantern (since I first discovered him as a kid).

    Today...more little bits of cleaning...

    Today:

Nothing more than relaxing and dealing with the foster kids. Then at 3 I have work until close. Should be interesting. I dealt with all my aquariums yesterday so I have the day to do whatever.

my two favorites in my life.

My sister came from Halifax to help us with the house again... She went back today. My bursitis is flaring up again, so I'm probably not going to be doing too much tomorrow.

My 10-gal now has two filters... I got out the Marina filter that came with the 2.6-gal and put it in the big tank to cycle. It's pretty powerful for a small filter... I have it on low and I can still see the plants in front of it bobbing like crazy. Once it's got the bacteria in it (in about a month or two), I'll move it to the 2.6-gal. One less tank to have to change every week.

The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of the act

Felt rather 'off' yesterday, didn't get done nearly what I wanted to.

However, still got some things done! Played with my new Green Machine and spot cleaned. Works like it should.

Mailed some bill payments today, then went over to the Federal Building and renewed my drivers license. Got the new one for eight years this time. They won't be contacting me again until 2019!

    Then I got a haircut.

Now, I'm home with an ice cold drink ...

    More later...
