Mom took the afternoon off and came in to tackle the closets. I could not believe the sheer amount of crap that was crammed into the upstairs hall closet. I have four garbage bags full of stuff to take out to the SPCA for use as animal beds, two more bags are going for a sale in support of ALS, and another small pile's going out with the garbage. Did not think the closet was quite that packed.
Also got Firetail's tank cleaned today. He's been glaring at me for the last hour or so.
And the rain finally stopped. Been absolutely pouring most of the day.

Water was out in the building all day today, some road crew was working on something so they had to shut off the water, then when it was time to turn water back on into the building, the turnoff snapped. Unfortunately I had started cleaning the tanks already. Didn't realize the water wasn't on till I was ready to refill the tanks. Was lucky that I had enough dechlorinated water in buckets and in the brute trash bin on hand to get all the tanks to 3/4 full. Water just got turned on a little while ago now. Think I'll wait till tomorrow to refill the tanks, the water was coming out a bit discolored a few minutes ago.

Sunny's water looked a little murky and there was stuff stuck to the inside, so I changed his water and cleaned his tank a couple of days early. He is giving me the finny "glare of death" and poofing at me every time I even glance at him.

I took 7 bags of old blankets and towels to the SPCA today, to be used as beds for the animals. While I was there I went down to look at the cats, and I went into the playroom to pet them. Had one really friendly black cat get right up on my shoulders and purr in my ear. Also had a tortoiseshell try to stow away in my purse when I was leaving. Then I went over to the kitten room, had my fingers thoroughly played with and nibbled on by eight kittens in four different cages. ^w^ They were so cute. I want all the black ones.
Dropped by Wal-Mart and Pets Unlimited to price filters. Got some very confusing advice. PLEASE SEE MY THREAD IN "TECHNICAL" AND HELP GET ME STRAIGHTENED OUT!!!
Got invited out to Howie Center for Chinese food by my parents, so went out to have dinner with them. Mom told me there was a wicked weather system coming in, so I had to scoot right after the chow was gone. Was already snowing when I left. It's now turned to ice pellets, and supposedly it'll turn to rain later. I am so not leaving the house tomorrow.
In other news, my youngest sister dropped in with one of her pals. They're going to see "Insidious" tonight, and they borrowed "Mirrors" 1 and 2, "Paranormal Activity 2", and "1408" from me. Michelle is the biggest coward I know, so after watching all those movies I can guarantee she'll be up all night, with all the lights on.

Have to go to the dentist today and get a tooth pulled and will admit that I'm a coward when it comes to dentists. I've had teeth pulled before and have paid extra to be put to sleep so I didn't know what was going on but this time they won't do it, has something to do with now being diabetic and the med's that I'm taking. My appointment isn't for another four hours and already getting nervous...

Took the dogs for a 5 km walk yesterday. The CatahoulaX was being extra bad...we chalked it up to his needing more exercise. TODAY I find out that my daughter took him on her 10 km run earlier on. One would think 15 km, 10 running and 5 walking would be enough...but noooooo....
Today I got up early...took the 15-year old to the orthodontist...then to the doctor...then to school...then drove home.
Didn't procrastinate at all and I've already done my monthly bookkeeping.
Now I'm done my 'essentials' for the day. Yeeha!
I do want to 'declutter' something though...watched Hoarders last night...and am motivated...I did my clothes wardrobe on Tuesday...felt good.55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

Had a dental appointment this morning for my regular, routine cleaning. It was snowing on the way in, then turned to rain when I got into town (lower altitude).
Came home, picked up the mail, had a bite or two to eat, now just relaxing on here.
The dojos were foraging around in the floating plants again. Either the RCS or the other fish must have laid some eggs in there. I can never see them, they are so well hidden. But those dojos can sniff them out and always seem to pinpoint exactly what they're after. Maybe they just like eating the Riccia, itself. All I saw were long bodies and tails hanging down and active little mouths moving around in the clumps. I can never see what they're actually eating, as their mouths become hidden, as well. Fun to watch! And very natural behavior.
More later ...
