Still raining and miserable out, but not really cold. Just a lot of wind.
Went into town today to begin tutoring a functionally illiterate adult. He can barely read and write at a first-grade level. Not sure if he's dyslexic, he seems to print some letters backwards. Which means he might be reading them backwards.
Came home, fed my cats and gave Rootbeer his medicine.
I can hear the Northern Flicker's mating call in the treetops. They always get loud this time of year.
Fed the fish.

Hauled myself out of bed well after lunch to do both of my scheduled water changes (Shimmer and Searchlight), then got something to eat and sat around for a few minutes before deciding I'd go get my errands done...
Firtst stop was at the Value Village thrift store to drop off some stuff I was getting rid of. Was looking around after dropping off my donation (and picking out a few new books), when I came across this in one of the counter displays...

A stuffed puffer fish. A fairly old-looking stuffed puffer fish. *shakes head* Some weird stuff shows up in that store on occasion...
Picked up some groceries, saw my aunt and uncle at the grocery store, chatted with them for a bit, then came home and booted up the computer.

Dusty and icky...*bleh*
Took hubby to the airport, got my dog food, went shopping and bought two lightweight jackets and a summer purse, got my violin picked up, got my Peppermint Shrimp and the snails I may need to take back, towed my son and the quad out of a snow bank, opened all the windows after my son filled the house with smoke trying to cook a frozen chicken breast...had a temper tantrum...and went to bed...
Got headache...

XD;;;;; I splurged... Went to the lfs to check out the new shipment of bettas. $88 later, came home with a 1.77-gal Marina Cool 7 for Shimmer, with the LED light (sold separately), and a light golden male crowntail. I went for the oddball among all the reds and blues ^_^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Betta #8. Pictures when he stops going nuts adjusting to his new home.

How do you manage it, Rue? Must be a super-mom!
We were out of town all day yesterday. Went to Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. I got some cool new stuff for my fish tank (soon-to-be tanks), got my latest photos printed and a CD made, stopped at Wild Birds Unlimited and redeemed the rest of the gift certificate MIL gave me for Christmas, hubby had a lot of business of his own to do, which he took care of after dropping me off at my favorite places, then he would meet me back there to go on to the next thing. At the very end, we had dinner at one of our favorite buffet places.
Today, I cleaned the AC50 and scrubbed a few more diatoms off the back and one side panel.
Fed my cat, and was about to walk up to my garden plots when the weather turned nasty, again. Strange how it can be sunny and nice one moment, and less than ten minutes later, it's raining and pouring down pin-dot size hail! The wind kicked up again, and it got cold. So much for exploring the latest upgrowths in the flowerbeds.

I'm just a really tired, frazzled mom at the moment...
Got groceries, washed the truck (well, I watched while hubby washed), got a couple more t-shirts. I need to start buying something other than t-shirts soon...like summer pants...or it won't be pretty. Picked the 15 year old up from a friend's house (he stayed over). Doing a load of laundry...
...taking the dogs for a walk in a few minutes...whiles it's still nice outside.
Then I need to do some cleaning.
We've also bought 1/4 bison. Hubby went to pick it up...I need to date it and organize it in the freezer, and then decide whether we can use it all up ourselves or if we should sell some off to friends. I don't want to end up with just the less desirable 'front' cuts though...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

Had to do water changes on my two biggest tanks today... Mid's 3-gal cylinder and the 5-gal female tank. That took me about 45 minutes, maybe more; I wasn't looking at the clock. Got some food, watched an old AFV tape for a couple hours, then came up to get online.
Is it bad or just plain weird when you have this tremendous urge to watch "Polar Express" in April?
