*eee* That sounds awful. But I hope it does the trick for you! I imagine you'll need the usual 6 weeks to heal up (and then some?).

I'm glad it's not just me! Don't understand it at all. Want I should come over and yell at all those men? Might make me feel better!

    That is the cutest cake!

...my day isn't becoming less eventful. Hubby came home after running errands...and without asking...took Celeste for a run. Normally that's fine, but we had just taken her for a 5 km walk...and her nails look sore. Then he let her in the house with muddy feet. I'm letting the carpet dry overnight...then I'll vacuum...then I'll tackle any remaining stains...

At 10 p.m. he went to pick up the 15-year old from work and managed...by taking a corner too close...to get the truck REALLY stuck. So I went to help...not much I can do (did I say it's REALLY stuck?)...so I went on ahead to pick up my son so HE could help. But the 3 of us still couldn't get it out...and then it ran out of gas...

Now I'm trying to relax so I can go to bed...and sleep...

Hubby and the kids dug the stuck truck out successfully this morning without me. Yay!

I cleaned up the muddy dog-prints successfully - the dry mud vacuumed up without issue. Yay!

Celeste and the pony both seems fine. Yay!

Now the house is nice and quiet...and I'm off to finish up my weekend 'to do' list. Yay!

Well today's plans include waterchanges, and I'm hoping we are spared some of the larger rainfalls so I can get the rest of the lumber scrap loaded up on the truck to take to the dump.

Then I want to wash the guest room bed linens and I need to finish some of my housekeeping in that room so its ready for company next month.

And after finding my knit pattern too large for a simple "favorite pokemon on a pokeball" laptop cover I'm now working on making it into a messenger bag, so more knitting.

But at least I got to take "crowbar off my shopping list, and last night I made some new chocolate dipped maple slices cookies and I thought they turned out quite yummy!

Worked yesterday. A bit overtired...everyone was gone for the evening doing their activities...and instead of reading a book and relaxing I feel asleep on the couch...

    ...it was okay though...

More working today...and then dance class tonight!

I did my speech today in my COMM class (public speaking). The topic I chose was Betta splendens, my fish... I had a powerpoint showing the different fin forms, and I brought the real thing... Midnight and Dark Lady went with me to class for the speech.

Midnight was in a pickle jar... Once he'd explored all of it he just shrugged (or flipped his fins) and went with it, fluffed out his fins and began doing slow cruises around the jar so he could see everybody. He spent the speech showing off his finnage and watching the rest of my classmates.

Lady was in a beet jar, and she was a little more freaked out. Spent her time zipping back and forth in full "OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!" mode. Since getting back into the female tank, she's calmed down and is now back to her normal self, though she gives me the "fishie stinkeye" every time I look at her.

I was a bit worried I wouldn't have enough material... The speeches are 3-5 minutes long. Can not tell how long it is when you're up there in front of the whole class with a video camera pointed at you (prof was out with a migraine). Turned out my speech was over 10 minutes long. ^_^
