I'm in the weirdest mood. Everything is fine and I'm just bummed...lol...need to snap myself out of it somehow...I'm depressing myself further...
My day 'off' was fine. Did a little laundry, vacuumed, played with the dogs and the parrots, read...but somehow I didn't relax.

Rue - I have tennis elbow (RSI), i've had it since Oct, it just wouldnt get better. I've been on reduced hours/light duties since then, with 9 weeks off work. Surgery was the last option. So surgery they did, cut a spur off the bone and removed damaged muscle/tendon. And it is absolutely caning me *L* I cannot get it into a spot that doesnt hurt. Painkillers arent working. After all this it had better be successful, or honestly i dunno what will happen then!

I scrubbed the back patio slab of moss, and added hose nozzle to my crowbar for the hardware store shopping.
Spent a long time talking philosophy with a friend on the phone... and dusted a little bit, but was disappointed he didn't need our spare queen size mattresses. So back to the drawing board on that one.

My sister came down from Halifax via Acadian Lines today. She's getting her fifth tattoo done tomorrow (I beat her to it by 4 months *wonders if I should post pics of my inks*), and she's going to help dad clean engine parts so he can rebuild the engine of her Dakota (the engine blew up on her last October or thereabouts).
She was looking into Searchlight's tank, but when he holds still he blends right into that purple plant, so it took her a minute to spot him XD

Got to sleep in a bit this morning instead of going over to Coxheath with Kate... then drove out to North Sydney so she could get the new tat on her leg, and get the butterfly on her neck touched up. After we got back I had to head to the college to meet my partner for an assignment in class, then got some groceries and picked up some hair dye (L'Oreal Feria #74 - copper blond).
We had hamburger hash for dinner (my grandfather used to make it), I'm cleaning strawberries for shortcake, and we're going to bake a cake ^_^

Is very tasty :D
And I also dug out my gem collection boxes... FINALLY getting everything organized ^_^ Some of the hilights...

Top row: phantom crystal (quartz with inclusions) and astrophylite (comes from only 1 location... in Russia)
Second row: galaxite (type of mica), ammolite, Mexican fire opal, and lapis lazuli
Third row: bismuth, raw garnet, and a fulgurite
AND I found out that Cirque du Soleil's show "Quidam" is coming to Halifax in July! *bounces up and down excitedly* I am so going to see it!

:D And it's easy to make! Strawberry drink crystals to turn the batter pink, chocolate chips for the "watermelon seeds", green food dye for the icing... There is the faint lingering taste of strawberry ^_^ This cake never lasts long when we make it. Two days is about the average before there's only crumbs left
