Finishing up my essay for college. Been about 10 years since I have written anything like this, gotta clean out all the cobwebs. Also, it is strange writing the essay within the required parameters. Third person plural, no quotes or references. So...its like a third person...opinion piece...
Very strange to me.Who is "General Failure" and why is he reading my hard drive?

After checking my fish, and water parameters early this morning, I am inside sipping a hot cup of coffee, and will head back outside to dig out of this wild snow storm that blanketed my wonderful yard AGAIN with at least 14 inches of fresh snow.
Kids are home, maybe I'll send them out with the shovels so I can play with my tank....

I think I'm going to clean out the sump on my reef tank.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Well yesterday we did our grocery shopping and I spent a large amount of time watching the tank when I saw that one of my giant danios decided today was his day for the magical matting dance of love.
For such drab looking fish at the store they are so enjoyable and especially when they get in the mood. It started out with one male going from "golden" lower fins to "goldfish orange" in color with blue stripes turning almost navy blue... and then he started to sort his family into "girls which I must impress" and "boys which I must keep away from the girls." Which then leads to the girls getting all excited because "oh my GAWSH did you see how colorful he was?!" so they start coloring up and then trying to showcase themselves, and keep the other girls away from the oh so attractive boy.
At any rate... I tend to take it easy on the weekends and do all my work on the weekdays cause on the weekends the man is home and he's more enjoyable than the dishes/laundry/etc.
So far this morning.... I woke up to someone knocking on the door.... in my dream, and I was aware enough to realize it was in the dream so I didn't jump out of bed and run downstairs... but at that point, awake. So I got up.... took one look at the python thingie and the stack of dirty dishes in the sink from the weekend and decided I needed a rather large pot of coffee.

I do it bucket style too.I feel more connected to the aquarium inhabitants that way.Although I do have a python, just do not like the idea of putting fish water around where my food and dishes go.
