Murphy hates me... The one day my father decides to stay home and drag me out to shovel the driveway is the one day hell week decides to start, leaving me dealing with excruciating pain and nausea ><
Agony on two fronts... Face and guts. Joy ¬¬

Thinking about making a thread that will get everyone to hate me. I'm thinking along the lines of:
Getting too Expensive
It's getting expensive switching out my fish all the time. I don't understand how you guys do it. I wish fish lived more than a week or two at a time. Also, all the stores I shop at only sell the smaller fish, not the larger fish that I see some of you with. Is there an online retailer or something that you guys get all the replacement fish for super cheap? I must have gone through a hundred fish in the past four months. Please help.
EDIT: It would be even funnier if I made a new account and had that as my first post lol.Last edited by funkman262; 01-18-2013 at 08:32 PM.

...I have a nice, quiet, regular Saturday planned. I started knitting a shrug for my dance class - haven't knitted for quite a while...so while I veg, I'll plug away at it. Hopefully have it done this weekend...
I'm always 'off' with dance class 'fashion', if there is such a thing. Last session...no one had a shrug. This session...everyone is sporting a handknitted shrug...lol. I want to be one with the crowd this time around...
This is the pattern I'm using:

I am very tempted to put together a "dry aquarium" using an empty fish tank, some gravel and fake plants and ornaments, and NO WATER! Adding the following...

And a school of these...

All critters hand-carved from soapstone ^_^ For sale at my friend Heidi's website, www.tellmewhereonearth.com listed under Gem Animals ^_^

I knitted last night...for hours...while watching Pillars of the Earth, and Ripper Street. My arm hurts...lol. Still not done.
Either I'm totally misreading the pattern (such as it is) - or the pattern is off. I had to adjust the stitch count to have things make sense, and now it looks like I need to go back and buy more yarn (they'd better not be sold out)...even though I bought 50 oz. more already. I think I'll need another 100....
Otherwise, it looks 'right'.
I'll see how far I get in it tonight.
On the sad side...I lost a cockatiel yesterday...
Izzy was only 9 years old, and I have no idea what happened. She showed no signs of illness, and everyone else seems fine as well.

I want to see photos when that dry tank is done. It's going to be awesome!

Might take a while ^^; I need some black gravel and to be able to order the soapstone critters. Looking into some of the other "tropical fish" Heidi's got for sale... Carved from serpentine and amethyst and strawberry quartz and picture jasper, etc. I think mixed colors for the school would be more striking than just the shades of soapstone ^_^

Here's a question, mostly for other Canadians here on the forum. Does anyone have any albums by a Canadian pop band called Shaye (Kim Stockwood, Damhnait Doyle and Tara MacLean, from 2003-2007)? I'm trying to find one of their songs, "On And On", which I used to hear on the radio all the time but can't find anywhere now.
Some of the lyrics...
"Those sparks can burn your hand / Loud speakers send the sound / Shoots you out just like a satellite / On and on and on and on / Tell me what is it..."
