As far as I'm concerned winter is officially here... It's snowing. Everything it covered in white, and it's fragging cold out.

Tweezers are a truly wonderful invention... Very helpful for picking wads of compacted dust out of my computer's CPU cooling fan so I could use a can of compressed air on it.

I did homework most of the day and then headed to my day-care job which was nice. It's always nice to see my kids. Then I came home to make cranberry vodkas and feed the fish. About to make myself another and admire my tanks for a while.

Had my weekly violin lesson yesterday...always fun. Practicing our duet for recital in a couple of weeks. Man...I suck. I always sound so good to myself at home...and then it's either nerves or my ear is totally off...but I am so out of tune when I start to play with my teacher...
Today my little adult beginner group is giving its first public performance...at a church craft fair. I play the viola in this group. The viola is a totally different animal - and I am not adept at reading the c clef. We'll see how well we do!
Hopefully no one will be actually listening to us...

It took us all of 10 minutes to play our 'set'...
And we were NOT good.
However, while I did get a little lost once during our bizarre version of The First Nowel (I couldn't hear what they were playing...so I was confused...)...I sounded okay at least (tone-wise). I am the only viola (the other 4 were on violins)...so I stand out a bit from the others...esp. when they're too scared to play loud enough...
But...we survived! On to the next musical challenge...
