Hubby survived his hernia surgery (day). He was originally thinking it was 'nothing' and was going to go to work. This morning he reconsidered...

...and I got to hear my favourite words: "You were right."

Today is also a day off for me...need it after yesterday. I'm zonked. I have some things to do in the house...and that's it for today. Should be good!

The cardboard was only really there to highlight any water that "might" have weeped out.


The filter is watertight, time to remove the cardboard.

Went outside to retrieve the Halloween decorations and put the window fans back in the shed. When I opened the back door I was surprised by a huge garden spider. The thing had to be more than an inch and a half across the legs. Me being arachnophobic, the reaction was fairly predictable. The paper towel roll I was using to clear the webs became a makeshift bat. That spider flew all the way across the back yard.

Still looking for that elusive hide throw for my bed. Asking some furriers and taxidermists if they might know where I could possibly find one. Search is probably going to take forever.

Just busy at work yesterday...then the stress of all the icy roads and driving kicked in and I passed out (er, sleeping...lol).

Today...a little shopping. I need a pair of basic shoes (like trail shoes) with a good grip - I am so tired of constantly slipping around (and being passed by women in high heels). I thought I had it figured out...but those winter boots are too hot for the warmer days...

Then I have a workshop in the afternoon...should be all fun!

Bottle run day. This was the first time I have driven a vehicle since the accident two months ago. My youngest sister borrowed The White Monster, so I drove her Kia. It'll be my Kia once dad gets off his butt and gets Michelle's Focus on the road (it's a standard, so she'll be the only one driving that thing). The Kia's not bad. Will be better once dad fixed the wheel bearing, though.

Am already hoarding my change and saving anything else I make, putting it toward that hide I'm buying. It's coming from Europe, though, so I have to make sure there aren't any weird regulations I'm currently unaware of.

Sitting at home watching football and feeling old. I tore my calf last night in the second football game I was reffing. Guess that what you get for trying to do 4 games in 24 hours.

Took the man to the airport (again -.-) for his trip to Germany.

Then I listed 11 christmas stockings for sale. Now I'm in the limbo of wanting them to sell and worrying about if they will or won't sell, and all that mumbo jumbo.

Think I'll go work on knitting more of my holiday gifts and holy cow its already past lunch by almost dinner time.

Quiet day at home yesterday...but I got lots done, so I'm pretty much caught up (for the moment).

Today...another busy 'all-day' Monday. I'll go home for dinner this time though...then come back for rehearsal...

Went fishin for the fist time in a while! Puppy drum have been running lately. Only caught one in the 30-45 minutes I was out there before dark.

Taking care of the sickies at my house. Had to take my hubby to the er last night for iv fluids (he was so dehydrated his pulse was in the 140s). Now tonight my two year old is ill, and he doesnt talk so it is hard to know how he feels. He is at least keeping fluids in so no er trip for him.
