Whatcha doin' today?

Well I got the last of my this years bulbs planted... next up... the garage.

I am kind of dreading the garage, but it needs to be done. Starting with emptying out the wheelbarrow of sand (bought ages ago for icey driveway/roads) so that I can get the wheelbarrow wheel fixed/replaced and can mulch my beds this year... they REALLY need it. One of the hazards of long time bachelors that do not garden or get into yard work.

Waited in for 3hrs this morning to sign for a parcel (My new Tetratec EX1200)...guess what, it didn't arrive :(

Packing for a week in Las Vegas! this will be my 5th trip and the third halloween week there. some real MASSIVE tanks and no last call! leaving friday night.

I did nothing yesterday. Fed Ling. Did the dishes. That's about it. So tired.

Back at work today. I'm currently filling in as a technician...(looks like forever at this point too

). I'm not cut out to be a technician (I have a bad attitude and do not work well with others in certain circumstances) - which is why I've never looked to be one. Not quite sure how I got here...

Now I'm having turf wars with some other technicians/students using the same shared lab space I'm using...lol.

...I keep reminding myself that I do get paid. Not well mind you...but I do get paid.

Well I shall tackle more of the garage I guess. If I can get another quarter of it done, I'll count that as a success (we have a 3+ car garage... I got the most used car side picked up yesterday, today I'm going to attempt to tackle the storage/tool workarea.)

I don't know how far I will get but hopefully enough to proclaim some progress.

And later this evening... I'm updating the train charity website I got sucked into a long while back by my new stepmother, which since I'm so out of practice will probably take me far longer than it needs to take.

Going bike rideing with the kids, probably the last few says before the winter weather sets in. The oldest one made sauce and meatballs for dinner tonight before he went camping with friends in San Diego so thats taken care off.
Going to my Park and Recs meeting than settling in to watch the World Series. Go Tigers.

...today 'they' took my garbage can while I stepped out of the room. This was obviously after I had set up for the morning. Who does that? I don't take 'their' garbage can...

I'm trying to let it amuse me vs. bug me...dunno if I can manage...

Done work for the day. Yay. I'll put in 3/4 day tomorrow...then I'm done for the week.

My excitement for the morning: I'm on the highway...traffic is horrendous...the roads are really quite slippery...the shoulders aren't clear...

...and my passenger door opens. Not all the way (thank goodness) but enough to let the cold in, set off the open-door beeper and stress me out...I couldn't safely stop until I hit city limits. Apparently hubby had opened it to look for my snow brush (which is in HIS truck - he never returned it) and didn't close it properly...

I think I'll go buy a pink one...then we'll all know it's mine. For some reason all my stuff seems to 'disappear' into the vortex that is everyone else's stuff...

Today is my official half day at work...which is morphing into a 3/4 day.

At least I can take time in lieu of down the road...

I really had to hunt down a garbage can this morning...I think they're migrating...
