I am going to take advantage of what might be our last nice (read: warm - 22C) day - tomorrow we're supposed to get to 'seasonal' fall temperatures 9 C).

My first day back at work! I'm on a new contract...same job though.

So far...ain't got much to do...hmm...

Second day back at work! Got some desk stuff to do...and am getting the supplies to start an experiment (nothing exciting...just routine stuff...but I'm good with it)...

Meeting my daughter for lunch...

...and then rushing home before the dogs explode. They like it better when I work from home...or don't work at all...

Did an unscheduled water change in Arrow's tank. There was stuff growing on the tank thermometer and the lower corner of the tank, so I pulled the filter, drained the tank, and refilled it with boiling water to kill anything that I didn't want in there. The gravel got rinsed and the ornaments were thoroughly scrubbed (the anemone was covered with tan slime, so it needed the washing), then reset the tank and put the filter back in. Arrow is less than thrilled about it. He's still glaring holes through my back.

Found some more silk plants in my supplies box, so I put some of them in the divided tank to give the two females a few more hiding spots. Overhauling Rainbow's half will have to wait until the next water change. He's already grouchy enough as it is.

Echo's color change is progressing fairly well, if slowly. Her sides and back are purple, only her head and around the base of her tailfin need to change color. That's probably going to take another month...

Even my busy days sound boring...*sheesh*

Working my 1/2 day...of my 2 1/2 day new scheduale...this morning. But I'm staying in town for my violin lesson...so I'll get caught up on some other stuff I need to do in the office - but that should be relaxing...no pressure...

Then I'm actually heading home to get my viola and driving back...just too much hauling and too long of a day for me today...not feeling quite up to snuff...

I ordered a table-top parrot stand last week. It arrived yesterday. I've been hemming and hawing aobut this type of stand for 3-4 years...

And guess what? It's too big and really ugly.

This is another reason I hate shopping on line and why I like to see stuff in real life. And no - not returning it...I'd lose the S&H for both directions and that's almost the price of the stand...

However...my Amazon likes it...so I'll suck it up and use it...somewhere...

Not sure what all we're doing today. This is the Thanksgiving long weekend...but hubby has to leave tomorrow on another business trip so we reschedualed our dinner (and his birthday party) to next weekend. A bit of a bummer...we all like this weekend! Weather is usually nice and people aren't stressed out!

We do need to do some yardwork...hopefully it warms up a bit...

I am wishing there was something I could download for VLC Player that would add subtitles to some of the movies I like. I love watching Japanese horror movies, but some of them are unsubbed and watching them is frustrating when I don't know what's going on >.<

Well... I got up even before the sun to make sure that the bf got off to the airport.

Now that I am home alone.... I plan to go all manner of crazy and paint the master bedroom. (Ok technically he knows about this since he even helped buy and pick out the paint, but still... )

But first I am going to attempt to sleep a bit more... though that's doubtful and then I'll get some grocery's later to make a nice big crockpot of soup from my homemade chicken stock. I also plan to eat other foods he's not too keen on... like Chinese, and Beef stroganoff with mushrooms. :d
