I was up before the sunshine this morning.

I am going to work on putting away all the laundry and things from our trip and get the photo book from all of our pictures going along a bit more.

Today was definitely one of "those days"...

Apparently an electrical transformer caught fire on the other side of the river, and that power line is the one from which I get my power, so the house was dark and cold for a couple of hours this afternoon. Just to really tick me off, the dog decided to do his business on the living room carpet, and he just had to develop a case of the runs at the same time >< The power came back on, allowing me to use the Bissel Little Green carpet cleaner to get the rest of the poo out of the carpet. And then the wastewater container decided to spill all over me while I was taking it outside to dump it.

On another note, I HAVE FINALLY REACHED 2,000 POSTS.

May I PLEASE have my award for reaching 1,500 posts now?

Work, going for a quick lunch with hubby, then we need to pick up this year's bison (er, frozen...labelled, in neat brown paper packages ready for the freezer)...

I decided the bison is worth getting...we all like it and it's a nice change from beef...

Then practice violin and veg!

Sneezing my head off with a sore throat because I went to a nursery and some sort of plant there made pollen that didn't agree with me. Stupid pollen. Oh, and something died under the house, so now huge houseflies are getting in here. And they're DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! I normally don't swat flies, but these ones are pushing me. Bad night for me. Plus, I think I have some kind of wacko fever. I keep getting hot, then cold. And I think I pulled a muscle in my finger. A small one, but it hurts. Owie. Also, I'm writing a story.

More work...meeting my daughter for lunch...then more work...then off to pick up crickets for the T's dinner...go home, make our dinner, practice and veg...

$500 doesn't buy you a lot of bison...well, it doesn't look like a lot...but I'll make it last over the year, so it still works out well...

Found a roast I missed from the old stuff...I'll make that this weekend...

Story on our bison: The farmer was away on vacation. Came home to find that the two bison had gotten loose, but his son and friend tracked them down...shot them...and then prepared them. And THAT explains why we had to pick it up on the early side.

So I'm not sure if this makes our bison more 'natural', because it was hunted down...or more like road kill? I just hope it's not tough...

Well the bags are unpacked, the laundry done, and most everything put away from the trip thus far.

Today I am going to do a major post vacation WC on the fish tanks and get the strawberry pots out of the garage and trim up those plants for the spring.

Still have plenty of work to do on the photo book, but its coming along a bit at a time.
