well let's see...
Yesterday I did a large WC on the main tank and cleaned the filter.
Went to the quilt shop and picked up lots more material for my quilt so I can do multiple squares without running out to the shop all the time... AND managed to remember to mail the photo book I've had for my grandmother for months.
Finished the 3rd square (Alliance lion that is all curvy lines and pointy bits) and started to cut out 4th.
Bf kindly too me out to dinner before beating me in a few rounds of SC2.
And cleaned out the fridge since Fridays are trash days and I think doing it before trash day means less stinkage.

Fully pulling down my 2.5ft. Will pull down the canister and fully clean and replace all media. Need to take the foam wall out, so will remove the gravel and plant mix from behind it so i can get some fishing line under it to break the silicon seal. Sand at front of wall is already out. Vinegar will be used to steralise the tank and goodies.
It will stay empty for a bit while i gather what i need to set it back up.
Did a quick setup on the other 2.5ft to house apple snail breeders, no filter or heater for now.
Oh boy it is humid here today, storm brewing i'd say....yay.....not!Lots of tanks

Wondering if anyone has actually noticed that I haven't been here for the last few days.
Been getting my Transformers fanfiction fix, and found a good place for Driftceptor fanfics. I usually get so into the reading that it's 5am before I even notice and by then it's too late to hop on here. I've also been shoulder-deep in the Transformers: Drift arc. Want to order all of All Hail Megatron and the Last Stand of the Wreckers comics. >> If anybody here has copies of either that they don't want anymore, I'd be more than glad to take them off your servos.
My sister came back from Memorial University over in Newfoundland for the weekend. Saw her last night and not since.

Friday, violin lesson (love my teacher!). Saturday...ran errands, did the usual housework. Sunday: went to a dress-up concert. It was fun to wear a costume! That was my 'big' halloween event. Monday, had a big bowl of candy ready...and no trick or treaters at all...went to rehearsal...came home, stayed up to watch the new episode of Hoarders...

Finally things are settling back down... It's been one Pit of a weekend...
On Sunday a wicked nor'easter came crashing through. Rain was coming down in buckets and the wind was screaming, gusting up to 130 kmh, roughly. We lost power for a few seconds, while most of the city was out for the better part of the next day. According to the newspaper, the nor'easter brought the worst storm surge seen here in at least 30 years. The harbor went right up over the Westmount Road and right into the front lawns of people on the other side. The yacht club over there was royally mauled. Lots of boats went down or were slammed against what's left of the floating docks. It's a real mess. Trees down everywhere, and what roads don't have huge branches across them are still covered in debris. I stayed in all day; no way in the Pit am I even going to attempt driving in that.
Halloween was cold and more than a little breezy, but quiet. Where I am now, the number of trick-or-treaters drops every year; in two hours we barely had 10 people come. Even from a fire-and-vandalism standpoint, it was a very quiet Halloween. Firecrackers and fireworks were still going off for hours, so the dog was hiding behind dad's chair.
All my bettas are doing well. Have a couple tanks due for cleaning. Red Amber's building a bubble nest and freaking at a cherry blossom sticker on the side of his tank. Opal is posing on his betta hammock, but every time I reach for the camera, the silly fin bolts.
And I still suck horribly at the Mirror class in Mario Kart Wii

I'm having very dull and predictable weeks...well, not so dull some days, but still very predictable.
Yesterday I worked, came home, baked the frozen pizza, practiced my music, watched a bit of TV and went to bed...
Today I'm working, going home, having dinner, coming back for dance class, going home again, watching a bit of TV and going to bed...
Thursday will be a repeat of Tuesday...and so on...

Well.... thus far I've made the cookies (ok they were no bakes but they were COOKIES at least for pity sake!)
Did some laundry and dishes, and a WC on the main tank.
Played a bit too much Triple Town on G+ but I couldn't help it even the evil villianous wild bears are so cute
Right now I've not got a machine that is really up to speed for the quilt even though I have squares all pieced and I know eventually I need to get some more material but.... I am trying to hold out on going back to the quilt shop....
So I'll probably work on designing the last two square I want to do.... a Pikmin and a Katamari one to make it 3 squares each from 8 games.

Yes,it has been warm and sunny.Actually these unusually warm days have had a great effect on the hunting.Found 7 garters(two different species and three color mutations of one species)and a eastern fox snake, three midlands water snakes, and a bucket of the "endangered"lake water.Unfortunately,no eastern hognose snakes, maybe in the spring. All were released.pic one is of a midlands water and the others are of lake erie waters.
