38 gallon rentry project
It has been a few years since I have kept an aquarium due to various reasons but the time is right to start again. I just picked up a 38 gallon tank which is essentially a 30 gallon but taller. It came with an Aqueon filter rated at 30 gallons with a flow rate of 200 gph. I will keep it for now but will upgrade to a Fluval C series. Also on the tank will be a magnum 250 HOT canister that will power a reverse flow undergravel filter. Those filters should arrive by fed ex soon. I still need a stand wich will be bought next month.
I haven't finalized exactly what fish I want, but so far here it is. 2 red flame dwarf gouramis, 10-12 cardinal tetras, 5-6 silver hatchet fish, and 4-6 cory cats. Not sure what kind of cories yet. No live plants but nice artificial ones, some driftwood, and maybe some small rocks. I will be doing a fishless cycle.
I plan on putting in a cold cathode blue light kit in the hood for some night time light. The day and night lights will be on timers. Can't wait!

Got my undergravel filter, magnum HOT filter and some fake plants in. Just need a stand and I'm in business. Plan on getting some driftwood while the tank cycles. Will post some photos as I go.
