Zoanthid too close to leather?
I was given a rock that had about 7 zoanthid heads and a leather frag only about two inches apart. The Zoas have spread now and are only about one inch away from the leather's base. Should I be trying to prevent this? The rock is a good solid piece, not too easy to just break a chunk off of.
Any ideas, suggestions?

The zoas probably won't enclose to far on the leather because the leathers cap will block light

The zoos won't stop so you need to do something. I would find a big flat head screw driver and a hammer and split the rock. I have done this in my tank as we have zoos and Papua out the you know what! BTW... take the rock out of the tank before you split it.
