Shed skin or dead shrimp?
Some of you may know (I doubt it) that I recently made a crab tank. Well I added a couple of ghostshrimp to the tank when I put the crabs in and now theres one of them laying in the middle of the tank and I can't figure out if it's a shedskin or if it's dead. The only reason why I ask is because I don't see the black mass that is its guts in the front of it. Any help is appretiated!

If it looks whole but hollow it is likely a shed shell.

shrimp molt all the time. The molt looks sort of like a shrimp, but sort of a transparent white color and a limp shape. That's probably what you're seeing, I'd guess.

Thanks for the quick reply! And it is a shed shell cause I just saw all of my shrimp alive and healthy. And not surprisingly the crabs took care of the shed skin.
