How to completlely kill a disease in a tank, without any fish in, but has liveplants?

As an alternative to liquid ammonia you could add some snails (make sure they will leave your plants alone) or amphibians (dwarf or claw frogs, newts) to to give you something fun to watch but not a host for ick.... ick only attacks fish, right?

Both Snails and Dwarf/ Clawed Frogs are illegal in Maine.

If you'd read my disease primer stickied in the disease forum you'd know that an aquarium without fishes for two weeks will eliminate the disease. If the motile parasites can't find a fish to infect in time they die, some in days, some in a week or so. Two weeks sans fishes = no Ich. You need not worry about your plants, just time is necessary to eliminate Ich in tank in which the fishes have been removed.
