    The sheer thinginess and aggravation of The Thing has not abated.

    I placed a nice bunch of crypts in there and boy did they take OFF .... until last week, where the whole mess of them decided "Oh hai, time to melt."

    Blargh. Everything I put in that tank melts. Even anubias.

    I'm just going to get a butt ton of moss and shove it in there.

    The Thing still exists.

    Currently, it has a huge wad of flame moss a rock, sand, a cluster of crypts that sprout, melt and sprout in weird succession and a nerite. I just moved the betta that was in there to the boyfriend's desk tank. The betta is getting old and fat, and seems to refer the lower flow of the boyfriend's smaller tank.

    Which makes this one empty. Am deciding what I want to do with it currently. Nano fish that actually -like- higher flow are .... difficult if not impossible to find.

    Yes. THING is still around. Still.

    Boris passed along, which left both his tank and THING empty, so I opted to browse petco one day. He got a new betta that I have named Mister Rawr or Sir Flares a Lot ... due to the quality of the flares he has.

    I also purchased 2 RedSea Nano Filters, plopped on on his 2.5g, and swapped out the AC20 on the THING.

    Crypts are no longer melting every week.

    I also got a new betta. I have yet to think of a decent name for him. And its been over a month. As for scaping ... It is still as difficult as it always was in the THING ... for right now I have a fake branch/cave thing in there along with leftover strands of XMas moss I snip out of my 10g.

    the new betta is cute! I'd love to see more photos of how the THING looks now.

    This is the same 5 gallon I set up last night in my kitchen. I think it is pretty cool looking~
    5 gallon/6.5 gallon/29 gallon/37 gallon/ 55 gallon {and a 20 gallon in my office!}

    This tank is now drained and stored in the Fish Stuff Closet. We could probably close the thread :)
