whats the best food for my fish?
I have two marbled Kissing Gouramis and am planning to buy neons and African Dwarf Frogs. What food would be best for each? I have sundried shrimp, Bloodworms and Wardley tropical fish food for the gourami's is there anything else I could feed other than ghost shrimp?
I was just planning on the same flake food for the neons and some frog pellets and blood worms for the African dwarf frogs ... Is there anything else I will need? I want them to have the best :)

New life Spectrum 1mm pellets would be great. I usually feed the NLS thera pellets to all of my fish. Also some frozen food would be good every once in a while.

the only pet store we have around here is petsmart and I dont think they carry that. Anything they have I'd be willing to try ... what frozen foods are good?

Mine like frozen brine shrimp, for frozen food. For pellet food, hikari is another good brand, but i would recommend NLS over it. Do you have any petco stores near you? I know petco has NLS... Also many online stores have NLS.

Get NLS online, it is worth the hassle.

my kissing gourami is super laid back but that doesnt really matter since the kg's are going in my 40 and my neons are getting my ten gallon. I cant afford that right now ... What is the best easily available food? And I was thinking frozen brine shrimp , algae pellets ( he loves them) sun dried shrimp, Baby guppies, freeze dried blood worms ... I have money to get them what they need but I dont have lots of money to spend on things they will burn through right now
I am going to order that food as soon as I get the money but for now is there another good food i can feed that I can just pick up at petsmart?Last edited by Elliriyanna; 11-30-2010 at 12:48 AM.

This statement makes absolutely zero sense. You have money to get them what they need but not for what they need now? Food is one of the most basic essentials and a jar lasts a pretty long time. If they have a good diet and clean water a lot of health problems can be avoided. NLS is a very good food. I also feed Dainichi and Hikari.

I was looking at a 2.8 oz jar of NLS for my gourami lol ... Just got a little mixed up ... I found a jar and will be ordering it as soon as they run out of their current food :)

Honestly, get it now. Diet is the most important factor in long term health of fish, matched only by water quality, and letting it go is simply not worth it. You WILL see an improvement.
