Thread: Zucchini!!

  1. Default Zucchini!!

At the moment, I have two tanks, my main tropical 14G and also a smaller 10 litre snail tank housing some apple snails. I tried feeding the snails a slice of zucchini, and I saw that the snails only ate the core (which is the softer part with all the seeds) and left the skin and the rest of the flesh untouched, so the slice ended up looking like a donut.
Now my bristlenose only eats the flesh and leaves the core and the seeds.
So feeding is a breeze; I just peel the skin of the zucchini, cut out the core and chuck it into the snail tank (I don't have to weigh it down cos the snails will happily come up to the surface and catch the zucchini) and feed the rest of the flesh to my bristlenose as normal.

Now if I can find something that'll eat zucchini skin...

When you find that out let me know!! I hate how nasty the zuccini skin gets after a day Ewwww!!!

Google is your friend. Use it!!!

When I feed zucchini, I will peel it so I take a lot of the thicker part with the skin. My guys will usally finish the whole thing within 12 to 14 hours if I don't remove it.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
