I've been using my python for more than 5 years now with no major problems until a few months ago. In the last 3 months I've gone through 4 faucet adapters. In particular, the top piece that connects to the sink keep cracking. The first one broke because of a dog that chewed on it, but the new ones (including the one I just cracked today) are clearly made out of a cheap plastic and are easy to crack.
Are there any alternatives out there for a better faucet adapter? maybe made of metal or at least better quality plastic? The only ones I can find are from python or Lee's and they are both almost identical and I've broken both types.
Any help would be seriously appreciated.

I went through 2 of them and ended up getting this. Hasn't broken yet. I would prefer one made of brass but I have never seen one. It does require an adapter to connect it to the hose, but it works great.
That looks almost identical to the one I used from Lee's. I've heard that they used to sell metal versions but I can't find them anywhere online.

I've been using a waterbed one for a while now. Some of them from the 70's or early 80's are made out of some sort of metal. I was able to get one for free out of a relative's basement.
are you talking about this piece or the actual connector part because my python came with the brass part and hasn't failed me yet
I should have been more specific. I'm talking about the plastic piece that screws onto that one. Mine also came with brass.

oh okay I haven't seen a metal one of that . But if you do let us know id like to get one as well sorry yours haven't lasted you . do you think maybe you just got a bad one ? how long did yours last before breaking?
What those water changes need are metal threads inside that plastic piece. I have the metal connector like Danes photo but it still screws into plastic threads instead of metal screwed into metal. I think the plastic threads just get stripped.
