Does anybody grow Colocasia in fish tanks?
I'm tempted to put a Colocasia esculenta (aka taro, aka elephant ears) in my open top 55gal. I love the plant, it would look so amazing with tubers planted in substrate and leaves growing above the water.
I have read that it's toxic though. Toxic for humans trying to eat it raw, that is. That doesn't necessarily mean it's toxic to fish living around its roots... Does anybody have it in their tanks?55g: 4 pictus cats, 1 angel, 9 platies
10g: 10 pygmy corys, 9 celestial pearl danios, red crystal shrimps, assassin snails
20g: 5 platies, 1 thick lip gourami, 8 kyatit danios, 6 salt&pepper cories
