Ok, I'm concerned, a platy of mine just died. she was looking perfectly fine before i went to school today, shed been eating normally,. and ammonia and nitra(i)ts where all 00 ppm. tosay she's dead, no damage to the skin, no evidence of fungus or parasite, whats going on? This is the second death like this in a month!
Have you had your daily dosage of Pele?

Are you sure that nitrates read 0? Unless you're doing a lot of WC's, there should be some nitrates. Are you using a test strip or liquid test?
I've had platies go pretty quickly, nothing wrong with any of the other fish in the tank and water parameters all good. Sometimes these things just happen. If you have more die off, then I might be concerned.

Test strips arent as accurate.. they tend to give you faulty readings..

Test tube for ammonia. I've not had a platy so I can't really advise on them.
