Looks great! Keep us updated for sure. Considering doing something similar soon, got some good ideas in here.
You consider doing a waterfall for the filter? Similar to a terrarium, only in a tank. Be a nice way to conceal it all IMO...
Oddly enough I found this on google while looking at ripariums...lolLast edited by Scrup; 11-01-2010 at 07:25 PM.
Who is "General Failure" and why is he reading my hard drive?

Lol, what did you google, ghetto ripariums? It's going through the nasty brown algae phase right now, so no pics for a few. The tank is right next to my bed so I don't think I could tolerate the noise from a waterfall...the air pump for the sponge filter and the sump system on my sw tank are enough noise to try and sleep with.

Hahaha, too funny! It's the first if you google "ghetto riparium". Must be unique in all of the intarwebz.

It's not very pretty, but here's an update. It's turned into algae hell, which is to be expected since the lighting on it is a dual hagen glo t5HO. I'm thinking of filling it up further since I found out my apt floor is concrete slab and I don't have to worry about it falling through the floor.

The leleupi wouldn't sit still for a pic.
