  1. Default lemon tetras after adding corys

So I have 6 lemon tetras, and 4 trilineatus corys in a 29g. I just added the corys last night. Not sure if this is coincidence. Anyways, today, the tetras are going crazy chasing each other. I mean like super fast goin nuts. They try to dive and dart at each other, and are even kinda knocking each other around, and zipping all over the tank, bottom, top, in and out of the plants/wood/rock. They've been doing it for about 3 hours straight now.

    Is this normal?

PS. water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and about 10 nitrate. 78 degrees. I have a lot of fake plants, a large piece of weighted down driftwood, and 3 rocks with holes/caves. The only other "new" thing in the tank besides the corys is the little hikari tropical sinking wafers (dropped 2 in) for the corys.

Sound like normal morning tetra behavior which is when they spawn and are more active.

Does not sound like any thing to worry about, in fact it seems to be just the opposite.

I'd say it's spawning time in your tank. :)

Indeed, the tetras seemed to eventually calm down. It was pretty comical and entertaining for a while. :)
