    Default Bristlenose not eating

    0 Not allowed!
Hi everyone, I am new to fish keeping. I have a 180 ltr Jewel Vision set up 2 months. At the moment i have 7 Corydoras and 1 Bristlenose Plec, i plan on getting some female Platies, 2 Angels and maybe another couple of Corydoras to fill my tank.
I have got my Bristlenose 8 days now and i hav'nt seen him eat yet, i dont know if this is normal or not, each night i have put in courgette or cucumber, but when i take it out in the morning none of it has been eaten, when i put in algae wafers its the cory's eat them. I dont know what to try next.

It took a while for my small starry night pleco to figure out that the fresh zucchini was food. Do you have any algae in your tank or is it new?

keep an eye on his stomach, which should be easy if he's frequently attached to the glass. If it is sunken, he's not eating and you should be concerned. Otherwise, you're okay. He may be finding algae to eat that he enjoys more than what you're trying to provide him.

Leave the veggies in for 24 hours. He will find and eat them. He is probably eating, just keep an eye on him.

also how big is he? When I first got mine he was about 1.5" long, and he would latch onto the veggies I was feeding him, but he wasn't actually eating enough for me to notice. Now he's about 2.5" and he demolishes them.

As has been said, keep an eye on his stomach. He's probably eating, they're sometimes a bit private. My female chows down in front of my all the time, but the male generally never does.
