Do you have any of the whole tank? I am ver curious!
Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can pay the rent.

Unfortunately I have serious algae problems, yesterday ended my second 3day-attempt with complete darkness period...
My tank is not yet stable and want to manage it before uploading some pics...
Sorry Drumachine, promise to do it when all reach a good level...

    Genirous,
Newer tanks often go through algea blooms as nutrient levels are all over the place. Darkness periods does nothing to solve the root cause; overfeeding is the usual culprit, followed by new tank syndrome with high phosphate levels a close third. Feeding smaller meals more often rather than one large one solves the first, patience the second, and water tests to find the phosphate source the third.
Most important word above is patience. Nothing happens fast in aquariums save for fish deaths.
