Help deciding/finding ray
Hey guys,
I'm trying to get some ideas to suggest to my boyfriend for a stingray since I'm giving him the setup for Christmas, I'd like it to be the smaller of the rays and I have been looking everywhere and I cannot find any consistent info and if then I can find a price or retailer.
Thanks,
Maggie

what size tank? you won't have success with any ray in a tank under 180g. there are no small rays, they all get large very fast and need tonnes of room. they produce ammonia constantly, which means you need lots of water volume and great biofiltration.

I got a 180 and I'm working on the filtration, I am a far cry away from actually buying one soon, but I just wanted to start getting ideas

if you have a 180g, I recommend a huge wet/dry sump.

get ya a 75 or 100 gallon tank for a sump, throw an fx5 or some other canister. Then as a polisher a Ac110 or 70... lol for tanks over 125, thats my motto, sump, fx5, and a HOB lol
seems rays make alotta waste. my lfs has two 250 tanks beside each other with rays and was cleaning them out when i stopped by one day.. messy messy
