Others depend on where you reside. I ship live fish with FedEx 2Day Home service. They ship cheap and take good care of the packages.

That's a great quick reference!
I thought there were 2 types of medium and 2 types of large boxes (square and rectangular). Are they the same prices?

Here is something else that can be of help. Link is for the postal regulation about shipping fish and some other live animals.
526.6 Small, Harmless, Cold–Blooded Animals

You would be amazed at the number of workers at the post office that don't know you can ship fish. This is useful to have so you can point out the regulation code if they give you any trouble about shipping fish. I keep a printout with me, whenever I go to ship something just in case.
What they require when you ship fish.
* Fish must be held in a securely sealed primary receptacle.
* Primary receptacle must be cushioned with sufficient absorbent material to take up all liquid in case of leakage.
* Primary receptacle and absorbent cushioning material must be sealed within waterproof outer (shipping) packaging.

No idea on international delivery. If shipping fish/plants I think you need to find out what the rules/laws are about importing/exporting them too.

Thanks. I wasn´t really thinking about fish or plants. Doubt they would arrive alive. If I want that I need to use air freight and go to the airport.
