Default 10 g betta planted tank

So i had an email a long time ago from a lady who had 1 large tank and a smaller one she wanted them both gone and the stuff that came with them, so i replied, yup i would like them but first how big are they, i got no reply until last night, i was sitting on here answering questions when i got a phone call saying if i still wanted them then come down and get them.

i went today to pick them up, one is massive 20g i calculated and the other is a 10g,the amount of stuff that came with the 2 tanks is phenomenal i have un-opened gravel vacuum's i have enough air tubing and fittings to run the tank downstairs from the pump upstairs, i have 4 filters, under-gravel filter, heaters, thermometers, look at the photos.

the thing is though that when i got to her house i noticed a bucket in the kitchen on the floor with a filter running on it, so i looked in and there was 6 comet's and a stunning Ghost Koi around 6" long. she obviously noticed me looking as her next sentence took me back, it went

"you can take them if you want, if you don't take them im just going to throw them out back in a hole i dug and cover them over"

so me being me with that i told her "yeah i will definitely take them"
needless to say i cant set a tank up that large and a pond is out of the question, so they are now at Big Als being QT'd, for them to sell on.

anyways i have a CFL fitting in this tank hood so im thinking i will go to Wal-Mart and pick up a couple of those bulbs and plant this tank with high light needing plants but a few floaters too to take the glare from the bulbs (any responses to this part greatly appreciated) especially if i plan on putting a betta in there, maybe a school of neons too.

anyways if anyone has an idea for the 2 other 20 g tanks i am thinking 1 is definitely going to be a QT and then the 30 and the last 20 will become convict tanks so i can separate my 5 cons have the breeders in a 30 and the last 3 in the 20

The more i look at your tank the more i want your tank in my tank!

    That was a great score!
Keep the tanks cleaned and ready, you may need a quarantine or a fry tank one day.Just some some media ready to drop in a filter to start the tank out.

Nice pickups. Your plan for the lights will be fine just make sure you get something in a color range around 6400K.
