Dirty water from adding pea gravel
Hello all,
I am setting up a 40 gal FW tank and, in and effort to not pay the inflated pet store prices in aquarium gravel, I went the cheap route and bought a bag of pea gravel at Lowes. So, my question is, although I rinsed the gravel THOROUGHLY, the tank water is cloudy from the mud and silt left in the gravel. I am assuming that the sludge will eventually settle on the bottom. Then do I just gravel vac it out or how do I clean up my mess ? Thanks.

If you have no fish and have yet to start cycling the tank, you could just change the water and complete a gravel vac.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
