  1. Default Bronze Cory has ?swollen belly?

    my little cory is tough.
    he/she has proven it.

but after a tank treatment, i was doing my hourly observations and noticed cory has a swollen stomach like its pregnant or constipated.

    should i give it a pea?do i blanche it?

    any info is appreciated.
    thank you

females naturally have larger bellies than males... what you are seeing may be normal. Can you take a picture?

If there are other corys in the tank it might have eggs. Otherwise it could be constipated or otherwise sick. Tossing in some peas isn't going to hurt. If she does have eggs the peas aren't going to hurt, if she's constipated it will help clear her out. Keep an eye on her though. If it looks likes its getting worse consider putting in some meds.

i didnt take pics at the time. i will today.and upload them.
im still not sure if it is a male or female.

when cory was purchased there were 2 of them and the larger of the two died.i assumed the larger one was a female.
but im not so sure about my little buddy.
