I have been thinking not seriously yet on starting a Fish Club in my area. I live in the East valley in the Phoenix Metro area. There is one club that is northern phoenix, but none here we are about an hour and a half away from that club. Does anyone have any suggestions, sources, etc about how to start one? Can I get a LFS to sponsor?

I've just started one as a group on facebook.

I'm going to put an ad for it in my LFS as long as he doesn't see it as competition if people are selling on it lol

If there are enough members before long I might make a proper site for it ;)

Also you could put an ad for your group/club on craiglist or the equivilent.
Used to try and keep track of my fish here.....

Ran out of room and time!!!

Instead I'll tell you the best piece of fishkeeping equipment ever....... Algae Scrubber :)

I can't imagine a LFS wanting to sponsor a fish club myself. Clubs buy and sell fish between themselves and it seems like the fish store would be cutting their own throats in sales.

Have you checked in Google for fish clubs in AZ?

I checked and there is only one that is Tropical fish and another which are killie fish only.
I never have been involved in one so I did not know they buy and sell fish, any other info would be appreciated.
