Isn't it better to have aquarium stand WITH legs?
I was just wondering why most aquarium stands don't have legs - if you do spill/leak it's so much easier to clean up after...just keep clean in general, come to think on it...
Wouldn't it be much easier for levelling too?55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

It easier to level and clean under but those small feet are hard on carpets and some laminated flooring.

I like the look of my wood stands much much more than the iron stands with legs.

I actually don't mind the iron stands, but they need to update the look a bit...
My favourite stand is the dresser...two drawers hold all the fish stuff and it's on legs, so nice to clean under...
The only thing I don't like is that it looks like an aquarium sitting on a dresser, and I'd prefer it to look more like an aquarium on an aquarium stand...55 g Goldfish Tank - 5 Fancies, 2 Dojos

A solid surface to distribute the weight more evenly is much stronger than legs.

I agree. I wouldn't want the legs.

The legs could break and I like to store fish supplies in the stand.

I like being able to conceal all my equipment. I have seen some iron stands that are rigged up with a smaller tank underneath and that looks pretty cool.

I don't see how the legs can break. Here's an old picture of my dresser...
