Whats your opinion on Euthinasia? Do you think that it is acceptable in extreme situations, or that its should never be considered?
Have you had your daily dosage of Pele?

I've only had to do it with a goldfish. If it needs to be done it's better than letting the fish suffer.

Agreed, in the wild they would be eaten by another fish but in our tanks they suffer so we have to do it for them. I make sure they are toast before I do it though.

I've had to do it for seemingly healthy, but obviously physically defective fish. I've been selling fry, and in no way, shape, or form, should runts or deformities be distributed. Not out of cruelty, but to maintain the integrity of the species. Ad Konings even states this in several of his cichlid books. IMO there's a good chance that most of them would not survive in their natural habitat also, either rejected/chased or eaten by others.
11 tanks, 5.5g up to 125g(2). Mbuna, Haps, Peacocks, Tangs, wild caught to tank raised!

If I know that they are suffering and not going to make it then better to end it.

I try my best with a sick fish before I euthanize. Once I know that I have done what I could and know that the fish isn't going to make it, then I put it down
