my new 135 gallon tank
I picked up a used 135 gallon tank this weekend. I moved my goldfish into it
so now they have plenty of room to move around. I have two orandas, two lionheads, one pearlscale, and one panda moor.
The tank came with a 25 gallon sump wet/dry filter and I know very little about sumps. It has an overflow box which drains with a 1 1/4" flexible hose and runs down to the wet/dry portion which has a layer of floss and then about 10" of bioballs. The sump itself has three separate compartments, each being 12"x12". Each box overflows into the next. I have a Rio 2500 submersible pump in the third compartment, which should be pumping about 500 gallons an hour with 4' of head. So I have two unused portions of the sump.... any suggestions as to what I can put in them? I'm really excited about this filter, just wanting to know how to set it up to get the most out of it. I like the fact that I have an extra 20 gallons of water.
I also pulled my Eheim Classic 2217 from my old goldfish tank and put it on this new one.

Can't help too much with the sump...but it'll be excellent for the goldies too!

I wonder if you posted this in the "Technical" section of the forum, maybe it would get the attention of somebody who knows about this type of filter. I wish I could help you, but I have only ever had cannisters and hang on backs. Good luck with this new setup.

Sounds like a great tank. Plenty big for your goldfish
