saying hello again
Hi all
dont know if any of you remeber me.
Well lots has happened and Ive been a bit quiet on the fish front. Until now (well nowish lol)
My community tank still does well and my guppies are going great.
My upstairs tank, got a bit negleted with veiwings, as dh works nights so often had the lights off during the day, so we made the decision to transfer the neons and bristlenoses into the main community tank and the tank was put in the garage for selling..........
Until 6 weeks ago, when we talked about setting it up in the lininvg room, set it up and have cycled it, no idea of what to go into (had left it bare bottom so could decide) until I read this months practical fish keeping which had an article, by one of our local fish showers, on breeding guppies. Went to my LFS where he sells on some of his extras from breeding cycles, and brought a pair of red blonde guppies, so they are in the 60L tank to hopefully mate and drop fry, then I will selective breed. I laso brought some nice males (who are in the main tank at the mo) who have very long dorsal fins so hoping to breed from them, they have black tails, so hoping to get a moscow female at sometime and try and breed an all blue/black guppy.
My MArine tank is starting its recovery, we had a system failure, the pump blew up. (sat hard a bang and smoke in the water) since then, we have lost all the corals and the snails. I also lost my clown fish. Blenny and the cardinals still ok as are the hermits. So on advice I am just running testing and leaving as they tank recovers then I will slowly restock. I have just started to get signs of life back on the live rock yeah.
So thats me, will upload some pics of the new guppies at somepoint
