  1. Default New Arrival....

Not posted in a good while, simply because ive been busy...

After 6 weeks of trying to order one, when it arrived, 3 weeks of quarrantine and arduous and sucessfull weaned vitamin dosed frozen food cycle, hes now in my tank, and seems to be loving it loads!!!!! Anyways, here he is, my Moorish Idol...

Once I get past the 6 month stage, ill stop being a nervous, worried wreck expecting to find him dead!!!!

theyre extremely hard to keep and you need to feed them sponges. hate to say it but i dont see it making past a few months. 125g is the bare minimum for them but i would go 250g+

they'll look fine for a while, then slowly waste away

firstly, most of the species i keep are near impossible to keep and are on specialist diets, so the moorish idol is again something im ready for.... If you dont try then youll never know will you?

Secondly, hes got a specialist diet im feeding, just need him to start eating it..

end of first day and have found a specific tailored diet that the rest of the fish leave alone, and both the moorish and the achilles eat, the achilles out competes the idol for this though, but the idol gets enough food from the meat feeding regime for a partial diet....

However the tang does not eat or actively participates in the other food, leaving eough food for him to graze with the rock and the foods the achilles does not eat.... So all in all, a productive day... Now need to find a suitable, dependable regime tailored to his needs.

Should have this figured out by the end of the week and solid detailed findings with bulletproof evidence by the end of the week..

Sorry to keep you all waiting, these things take time!!!!!
