Thread: Tiny Pets?

  1. Default Tiny Pets?

I was just wondering what all small fish are easy to take care of... Sorta like sea monkeys but more interesting lol. i was just curious. I would like to keep something in a one gallon or two gallon on a desktop. I currently have a ten gallon as you know but want to set up a second tank :) The goldfish are being well taken care of. And I will not get any other until I have the money

Maybe a shrimp or two cant think of much else that would work.

I know I could put a betta in a two gallon. But maybe i should ditch the idea of multiple tanks ... I mean I'll be pretty busy with classes and goldfish as is. But could i keep brine shrimp in a 1/2 gallon as food?

Guppies are pretty and interesting, just be careful because they tend to mate like CRAZY!

And be careful if you get any kind of snails.. they take over aquariums within weeks and will even get into filters.. (if you get live plants be sure to check them because cleaning snails can come in on those as well)...

Betas are a good idea also, and you can add them to tanks with fish already- just make sure its not another male beta and watch it if its a female beta.

Also remember that its 1 inch of fish for every 10 gallons... so try to be careful and not over-populate.

1inch of fish per every ten gallon doesn't always work, and not a really good guideline either. Some fish make more waste than others.
