Hi there
Hello from Pasco Washington (not the pretty part of WA). I've been reading these forums for a few months now, so figured it was long past time to introduce myself.
I'm still new to the fishkeeping world, and went about it completely bassackwards. Thinking that it would be easier than it is, I bought the tank, bought some fish, killed some fish and then figured I better start doing some more thorough research if I was going to stick with the hobby. I started with the E-book here, and between that and other books and pages, I'm finally feeling like a good fish mom.
I've currently got a 20ish gallon tank that I just recently (about a month ago) planted. It's been up and running for about 7 months now, and in it I have 5 zebra danios, 4 male guppies, 5 cherry barbs, 3 peppered cory catfish, and a rubber lip pleco.
I'm relatively happy with the setup, tho after my research I would have probably cut out either the danios or the guppy and added a few more of the ones I left. Everybody seems happy though, and my water parameters are well within acceptable ranges. I've even started seeing the mysterious pleco coming out of hiding to munch on fresh veggies lately.
I'm looking to upgrade already tho, likely keeping the 20 and adding a 50, but I'm still sorting out exactly what I want to do with it. The hobby has totally taken over tho, I never thought I would have enjoyed it as much as I am... I would have done this years ago if I'd have known.
I'll post some pictures sometime here soon too, so you can all tell me what else I'm doing wrong :p

If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
