  1. Default Strained Relationship

I have a pair of Kribs, male and female. They have bred at least once with no surviving fry. The two used to be inseparable always swimming side by side. Now the male hides in one cave and only comes out to feed, the female swims around near the bottom of the tank alone. When the male spots the female he nips at her. Neither fish displays their beautiful colors.

Any solutions or do the pair no longer have interest in each other?

Should I remove one and add a replacement or add another all together and hope for a new pair?

Sounds like a job for dither fish. Do you have anyone else you could put in to distract the male? You could also try rearrangeing all the decorations. He will have to get reaquanted and be distracted.

The pair has been together 4-5 months old, although they are both older than that. They bred once about a month ago, produced about 30+ but none survived.

The pair was still fine after that, two weeks later they both disappeared and I thought they were going to breed again. The female emerged and the male was out of sight for a few days. Then the male would only come out to feed and started to show aggression to the female.

I just moved days ago, tore down and moved my aquarium. Re-decorated and changed some of my fish stock. The male still hides and the female stays at the bottom with some corys.
