I'm glad that things are looking good. Hope all is going well and if the pleco doesn't physically touch them; then he's not the culprit. Unless he's stressing them out to the point their scratching or hurting themselves or just stressed and the bacteria took hold of them. It can be a multitude of things but we hope for the best.

I am discontinuing Melafix treatment. It has been 10 days, so I expect if it were going to clear up the issue it would have. They have remained largely unchanged, both in appearance (white patches, too big to be ich, not fuzzy enough to be fungus, etc) and in behavior (normal). If they get worse, perhaps they'll become easier to diagnose and a better treatment can be selected.
