Ok, so I woke up this morning to see that my beautiful new plant that I got 2 weeks ago and has been looking really nice is now getting chewed to hell by someone in the tank. I didn't have time this morning, but I will get pictures of it when I get home and post them.

You'll have to forgive me because I'm still fairly new and I've never been good with remembering names of plants but this is what I have right now...

3 rotalas..which have been constantly attacked, I think by my dwarf gourami, but I could be wrong.

1 new plant...can't remember the name. (this is the one currently in question)

1 new little bundle of what I think is some type of dwarf hairgrass.

bunch of fake plants to provide more cover.

    1 dwarf gourami
    1 angel
    1 SAE
    1 ABN
    3 white skirt tetras
    3 serpae tetras
    3 glofish
1 "mystery" snail almost the size of a golf ball.

This is current fish stocking. I have had some loss of fish since the beginning so I know my schooling fish schools aren't what they should be. I plan on adjusting my stocking by changing out some stock to my LFS to reduce the number of species but up the schools, but that's for another thread discussion.

Anyway, based on what I've posted does anyone have any ideas as to who/what is eating my plants all to hell? Also, like I said I will post some pics of this once I get home from work today, and if any more info is needed please let me know.

I have no idea. That's a lot of munching down in one nights time. Sounds like whoever did this had some help.

Here's the thing. The plant in question is in the back corner behind my large fake rock decoration so it is hard to see the stems near the bottom. The reason I noticed a problem is that a large portion of the plant was floating near the top this morning and it looked as if the reason for it was that the stem had been chewed through.

This could have been occurring the whole time, but due to location was not noticeable until this happened.
