    hey everybody,

i was wondering what any suggestions are for something which looks like anubias but doesn't grow so large to the point where it just curls at the top of a 20 gallon long tank...

i love the look of my anubias but it's just a pain how quickly it over grows. i'm open to any suggestions. thanks!
55g Long --> After 18mo of doing well the tank crashed during moving. Most likely cause: Flatworm Die-off... won't start another until after moving... Likely not until late 2013

20g Long --> currently concoting a build plan

Check out the journal to follow my 20g SW tank

Are you sure you have anubias? They're pretty compact and slow growing.
    75 gallon planted
    5 gallon planted betta
Lack of planning on your part doesn't justify an emergency on my part.

I second AmyLynn on this one. Although if you do infact have an Anubias that large I would be more than happy to take it off your hands

Do you have any photos of the plant?

Im far from an expert on plants, but I agree with the others... Don't anubias, stay close the the floor of the tank?

There are some very tall species of anubias out there; lanceolata, hastifolia, gigantea etc. But these are not very common in the general LFS setting and anubias themselves can be grown emersed very readily so I doubt it would curl up and wither from getting a little bit out of the water.

Lmao, very very different plants! I suggest anubias. Get the nanas or the nanas petite. Java fern (wendelov or needle leaf) is another option.
