New to red claw crabs and I need some help
Hello All, I hope you can help, I have purchased 4 RCC's the day before yesterday, and I am stummped from everything I have read they are very easy to take care of, we have brackish water, the temp is 78 F, they are latargic (sorry my spelling is not all that great) and then this afternoon one went onto it's back and it's belly flap is open (unsure of what the techinal term for it is). I can not find anything on the net to tell me why. I feed them crab pellets plus a little krill. Is this molting or are they sick and the one on it's back is it dead?

Welcome to the Fabulous AC!
Unfortunately we have no profile on the RCC here.
They do need brackish water but they also need dry land.Sand or soil is best because it promotes burrowing.
Here is a link to some great info.
