Demolition Derby
Why did I think parrots could live in a planted tank?
They have literally torn this tank apart in the last 24 hours. Every single bit of Ludwigia is ripped out that was grown to the waters surface. Nearly all they hygro ripped up and floating, crypts are gone and now they are at work on the jungle vals. The back of the tank could not be seen yesterday and today.......blah!
Only thing not destroyed is the ferns attached to wood so now that's all they're be getting.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

Digging. I have a female that wants to spawn but she thinks she needs to dismantle the entire tank to do so.

Don't really have any place for them right now so will let them float until I know what to do with them.

I feel your pain...my nics have systematically uprooted every plant not literally tied down and bitten chunks out of every leaf, even anubias. I've just started strapping every plant to a rock, seems to help keep down on floaters.

Yea. I should have known better. I'll stick with wood, rocks and java and forget the hassle.

They're not eating the plants. Just digging them up. Hey, they're cichlids. What did I expect. LOL
